Mission West Street Festival (April 23 and 24): I wasn't around South Pas for last year's festival, but my impression is that it is mostly arts and crafts booths. I know that there are also musicians scheduled to perform.
A Bohemian Evening @ bent (May 7, 7 p.m.): This is an event that my friend Steve and I are throwing at the clothing store bent at 1011b Mission. He is looking to open a restaurant in South Pasadena, and we'd like this to be an opportunity for him to meet as many people in the neighborhood as possible. There will be wine and hors d'oeuvres, and several songwriters will be playing throughout the evening (including yours truly). Everyone is welcome, and we'd love for you to invite as many friends from the community as you'd like. There is a suggested donation of $10, but we're not going to turn anyone away, either.
