The Bicycle Thieves

A weekend or two ago, Thena discovered that her bicycle had been stolen from our garage. Now, our garage is always open (we share it with a neighbor), but I'm not sure that you can see it from the street. You might be able to, or you might have to walk back around our apartment. Anyway, it's disheartening that you have to lock things up, even in South Pas.

The South Pasadena Review has a police blotter on their All Around Town page. (Unfortunately, the online edition isn't always updated in a timely manner.) I read this in the blotter:

May 11 -- Two male suspects were arrested after they reportedly entered a garage of a residence in the 600 block of Orange Grove. A witness reportedly saw the two suspects and called police. A short time later the men were arrested.

We live in the 600 block of Orange Grove. I have no way of knowing if this incident is related to my wife's missing bicycle as we don't know exactly when it went missing.

I also found these resources on the City's Police Department webpage:

Hi, I'm in an apartment building on Prospect, same block. Lately I've seen a lot more strangers around. Must be the season. We're keeping things buttoned up tight till next winter.

Our garage faces Arroyo Dr. and we had our garage broken into and our bikes stolen. Two years ago. It's a major bummer.

That is a bummer. Did they take anything else?
