Erratic & Sporadic

Well, my posting may be a little erratic for a while. I have a new job in South Pas, but I can't putz around on the internet like I could do from time to time at my old job. Hopefully, I'll find a rhythm.

My commute is three minutes all told; although, that's by car. My wife's father came down from Sacramento to pick up the car that he let us borrow while our car (the one that broke down in Redding) was being worked on. So, for now I will either walk or, if I find a bike on the cheap, ride a bike. If anyone knows of a bike (preferably vintage) that someone wants to let go for a song, please let me know. And if you make a low enough offer, I will literally sing a song for you. Heck, if you have a bike you want to give away, I'll write you a song.

Congrats on the new job (guess you can't say what it is, thanks to bosses getting all funky about workers and blogs). Wish I had a lead on a bike for you. I'll bet someone here in South Pas has a bike stored in some garage that they're not using. What about a flyer down at the library, senior center, Kaldi, Busters, etc.?

I see the spambots have come to town. It's time to turn on word verification. See http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=1203 for instructions. Sorry you got slimed.

Thor, I like the idea of posting something at Buster's.

I also like the idea of word verification.

How can spammers be so flattering?

Try the antique store (Lakhysa's or something?) in Highland Park on York a few blocks west of Fig. That's where I got my 1971 Schwinn Collegiate - they had several men's vintage Schwinns the day I went. The proprietor was asking $75 each, but she took $60 cash for mine. My kind of store!

And congrats on the job! As a South Pas resident/worker myself, you can imagine that I'm super curious as to where you landed a gig - would ya mind emailing me and sharing?

There's a new bike shop in El Sereno, Joe's Bikes, I think, it's on Monterey a bit north of the intersection with Huntington. They seem to have a bunch of old bikes for resale.

Congrats on the new job, now I need find myself one.
