Old Mr. Cawston is Turning Over in His Grave

A goodly number of the people visiting this humble page recently have come here after googling Ostrich Farm Lofts. Here is the official Web page. The background music is quite soothing, I must say. I imagine a lot of people with that just-rolled-out-of-bed-but-my-hair-still-has-gel-in-it look are going to be moving in. Just a hunch.

So far most of the Ostrich Farm traffic I've seen has been of the middle-aged ostentatious wealth variety - Tommy Bahama-clad men in midsize BMWs and the like.

They see me pulling up to work next door in my filthy Corolla, and I can tell they're thinking "There goes the neighborhood."

I'm surprised they don't try to run your Corolla over with their Hummers...

Funny you should mention it, but a speeding and tailgating BMW SUV *did* almost run me over the other day, causing me instead to drive up onto the curb instead of the driveway of my work parking lot!

Overpowered, oversized vehicles combined with impatient, aggressive drivers - not a great combo for South Pas's small streets.

I think the condos look neat AND I am a little nervous about the direction they might take the area. (I still love S. Pas. dearly and intensely, even if I have moved to the other side of the tracks.)
